I am a young man and when I sleep I do not have erections I also never awake in the morning with them. Besides blood flow problems or something physical what else could be wrong? In daily life I do not have erections anymore nor sexual drive. I have seen a urologist and it was found one side of my penis had reduced blood flow but at the same time why do I have no night time erections. Is there anything psychological or in the mind that can contribute to this while sleeping?
It doesn't sound like a mental thing, more like your brain playing along with the signal it's NOT getting from your blood deprived penis. You may be getting more than just your erection's system low on blood. Blood also may be low to your neurons too. Mention this to your urologist because they often forget about tagging a neurologist to help or consult.
What are other things too look out for that would show me I have blood flow problems? I am going to see another urologist but it takes time. I never get full erections sleeping or during the day time.
Just to be sure....get your cloresterol, blood pressure and a diabetes check. They can have an effect plus its just a good idea to keep tabs on them.
First of all, congratulations on having SEEN a doctor at all. That's the first step.
Every case is diferent. I was getting almost full erections that were slower and didn't fill my tip. One of the problems I couldn't get them to look into was my loss of orgasm and a spot of skin with almost no feeling. Because you're having erection troubles too finding the problem yourself is more dificult. Do you have any unexpected tingling, twinges or numbness in your penis? Your doctor may do a touch sensitivity test. This involves you not looking as he asks if you feel contact from either a pen cap or a highter tech sensor.
BUT we're getting ahead of things! While you're waiting for your doctor go ahead and masturbate to move blood around. If you're lucky you may orgasm. But if you've past the time you'd take normally don't push it too long. The idea is to relax and wait.
Hi,
You have gotten a couple of good suggestions.
Check for diabetes real quick as one of the first things that brings you to finding out about diabetes is poor erection performance. Nerve paths gradually age in a man in later life but much quicker in diabetics bringing the same result.
As long as the nerve paths are just slowly aging, viagra and other stuff can bring about a boost for these nerve paths to get the sequence of nerves to do their job for an erection.
A lack of desire is basic and maybe because of low Testosterone. It is very tough to find a qualified doctor regarding hormone therapy as they are all corrupted by pharmaceutical companies that tell them what expensive products they should use and what dosages. The doctors usually have no fomal training on a new in demand therapy and let the reps train them, BAD MEDICINE.
I think there are probably only a handful of doctors that are qualified with decades of experience treating couples with fertility problems or men for problems with andropause.
Dr. Shippen's book, The Testosterone Syndrome is essential reading for ll men. $14.95 @ Barnes and Noble.
My doctor is Dr. Gambrell located in Augusta GA and answers questions for free.
As for poor blood supply to the penis. The cavity can receive blood from either side into the cavity as injections of trimix into the cavity have no problem causing an erection in both sides of the cavity.
